The Reach of a Simple Thank You

The holiday season is upon us and through the love, laughter and cheer it is important to declare your gratitude to all of your loyal customers. The year is coming to an end and new beginnings are upon all of us, guarantee that you will be a part of your customer's routine once the New Year's Eve ball drops into 2010.

This is where those two simple words come into play so very easily. Take a moment to give a smile and a thanks, this can be done in multiple easy, efficient and cost-effective, if not free, ways.

  • Social Media - This is the perfect avenue to send everyone one of your customers who have joined your network a simple thank you message. You can send it through a message to all of your contact or you can post the message on your Facebook wall, drop a new Tweet on Twitter or even record a simple video, post it on YouTube and email it to your customer contact list. Another way to say "Thanks!" is to offer all of your social media fans, friends and followers a special social media exclusive holiday service offer. This will help demonstrate the value of your social media page and encourage others to join as well!
     
  • Thank You Cards - Send a personalized thank you card! What better way to make your customers feel important to your business and part of your sales and service center family. The personalization can come in a variety of forms, all you have to do is select the image that most suits your message!
     
  • Thank Your Prospects - Let's face it, your prospects are the people that keep your dealership alive as they turn into purchasing customers!! Take the beginning of the New Year to send them a little thank you gift for coming in to test drive a vehicle. It's a small gesture that will go a long way with a prospect in search of starting the year off with a new car. Send them a text message to announce the promotion as a quick, direct way to get your message out. If you don't have text opt-ins yet, be sure to start of 2010 by collecting them just as you would email addresses!

 

Three simple ideas to demonstrate gratitude towards your customers. There couldn't be a better time of the year to do it and expressing that thanks in new ways will register within your customer's thoughts and stay with them. The simplicity of a thank you has a meaning that is much deeper than the simple words. Find a way to thank your customers this holiday season and they will feel more welcome in your business as the New Year arrives.
