Corporate Giving

DMEautomotive is committed to giving back to the local community, as well as its employees and their families. By sharing time, talent, and resources, DMEa makes a positive impact on numerous organizations and families each year.

Always looking for an opportunity to extend its hand to a worthy organization, DMEa has formed partnerships and friendships with a variety of charitable groups. Below is a list of the community-based organizations that DMEa works with annually.

Florida's Blood Centers

For the past ten years, DMEa has opened up the campus to Florida Blood Centers and the Big Red Bus in order for employees to give blood donations that will save lives. The Bus visits our campus two times per year and with each visit, the sign-up sheets are quickly filled!

National Make A Difference Day

Beginning in 2008, DMEa has made a commitment to join the national effort in changing lives during the USA Weekend and Hands On Network’s Make A Difference Day. DMEa is proud to join forces with local community-based organizations and assist in the progression of their contribution to society.

2008 The Star Family Center

DMEa helped this non-profit center arrange their donation facility by cleaning out and organizing three rooms full of donations. In the process, DMEa also took an extra step and brought in the IT crew to assist with the maintenance of their computer systems as well as purchasing and putting up shelving for the center to maintain their cleanliness and organization.

2009 UCP – United Cerebral Palsy Center of Central Florida, Daytona Beach

UCP had a need to be filled and DMEa was more than happy to assist. This organization requested that the floors of their facility be repainted in order to maintain appearance, cleanliness and moral of the community members who frequented the facility. Although a slightly smaller job than the year before, DMEa showed up willingly to help with this worthy center’s needs and had a wonderful time in the process.

Children's Home Society

About six years ago, DMEa was proud to become an annual partner of the Children’s Home Society. During the holiday season, DMEa happily opens their doors to the children and staff that are involved within this organization. Each year, DMEa creates a fun, open and family friendly environment where each child gets to experience a little bit of holiday cheer. Santa Claus regularly makes an appearance and his little helpers are sure to take all the kids on hay rides around campus. After games are finished and laughter is shared, all join together to feast on a potluck smorgasbord complete with traditional holiday courses alongside kid favorites such as macaroni and cheese, rice crispy treats and potato chips!

Once the meal is complete, everyone comes together by the Christmas tree as presents are distributed to each deserving child. It is an event that the entire campus looks forward to every year.

Salvation Army Angels

For over 10 years, DMEa has supported the Salvation Army by requesting Angels for their annual, nationwide campaign to provide a cheerful Christmas morning to kids across the country. About 50-60 Angel slips are passed along to DMEa where employees receive an opportunity to select a child’s tag and then purchase presents for the children. While not required, each year all of the Angels that are brought to DMEa are well taken care of and it has become a tradition of its very own here at DMEa.

Daytona Beach Rescue Mission

DMEa has formed a strong relationship with Pastor Vargas’ local rescue mission over the past decade. Beginning in the late 90’s, DME began hosting annual food drives for the mission’s Thanksgiving dinner that benefits the homeless and hungry in Daytona Beach. In addition to the food that employees donate, DME provides the mission with ample turkey and fixings to supply those in need with a warm, traditional Thanksgiving meal.

DMEa has long promoted a culture of giving and a family atmosphere that their employees have come to appreciate as one of the unique benefits of working there. DMEa deems it essential to help its employees when a tragedy is brought upon them and/or their family. The company regularly hosts raffles, bake sales and fund drives with all proceeds benefiting the employee in need of assistance.

DMEa also regularly donates to charities and events that benefit productive non-profit organizations such as the JM Family Golf Classic, Special Olympics Young Athlete Programs as well as fundraisers and sponsorship requests that come from the employees and their children.
